Hey, before we chat...

Here is a quick guide to help you get the most out of our upcoming consultation.  I'll be answering a few of the questions I hear most often and share a bit of my approach.  By the end of this, I hope you have more clarity on the aspects of your day that are most important to you as a couple, that way when we connect, we can spend less time on the basics, and more time creating something that's uniquely yours.

Understanding your floral investment

At Petals And Stems, our wedding floral designs typically begin with a $1500.00 minimum investment, although there is a some flexibility depending on your floral needs.  Wedding flowers are custom planned, ordered and designed specifically for your day, which means your investment includes much more than the blooms themselves.  It covers everything from our consultation time, proposal creation,  design planning and flower sourcing, flower conditioning, designing, packaging and on going communication along the way.   Our minimum investment is in place for a few reasons, but a big one is that flowers are ordered in bunches and purchased specifically for each wedding,  every design being carefully planned which makes very small orders less practical.  My goal is to help you invest where it matters most, creating a beautiful cohesive floral experience that reflects your vision and makes the most of your budget.

Let's talk priorities

One of the biggest challenges in planning your wedding flowers is deciding where to invest your budget.  Before we meet, take a few minutes to think about the moments that matter most to you.  Maybe it's the bouquet you've always imagined, a ceremony backdrop, reception tables, your wedding party, or even a large floral installation.  No right or wrong answers, just what's meaningful to you.  If you could choose what feels most important, what rises to the top?

What your investment could look like

There isn't just one right way to invest in your wedding flowers.  What if that isn't the best use of your investment? Before we chat, take a moment to imagine creative options.  Would simpler bouquets for the wedding party free up room for a ceremony backdrop you have always dreamed of?  Could eliminating all or some of the boutonnieres mean beautiful reception tables?  If a full reception look is your priority, our bulk flower option for DIY bud vases can help stretch your investment even further.  There are no right or wrong answers- only the choices that best reflect your vision and priorities.

Preparing for your consultion

Every wedding is unique , and the more I understand your vision before we meet, the more personalized and productive our consultation will be.  As your gather inspiration,  keep your venue, the season, colour pallet and overall wedding style in mind.  Take some time to save inspiration that reflects what you're naturally drawn to .  Think bouquet styles, colours, ceremony florals, reception tables and centerpieces and overall wedding vibe.  Look for photos that capture the feeling you are after- you don't need to know flower types or names, I got you-  Once you send photos on to me, I have a keen eye at spotting similarities and finding trends I see in what you selected.  You don't need to have every detail figured out- that is what the consultation is for.  My role is to bring your ideas together and create a floral plan that reflects your style, your priorities and your investment.
